Daichi is the rather capricious Employee No. 422 of the Fourth Cafe. He's somewhat of a Snake Oil salesman, but his unique knowledge has proven invaluable to the CaD.
Biography
Daichi is an Ouroborian demon, and a child of Belphegor. As such, he is the oldest member of the Fourth Cafe, excluding members of the Last Cafe. Because of his nature, he has lived through every past Sphere, and seen each one play out over and over again. His most important role before the 16th Sphere was when his mother sent him backwards in time to ensure the fall of Eden, thus bringing about the universe as we know it.
In the current Sphere, Daichi worked with Manager No. 5 at the IRIS Company Syndicate, though he would at some point leave. He would later come to work at the old Florida Cafe and Diner under the name Quality Control, alongside "Cashier". The two joined in 2018 and would remain with the Florida CaD until its dissolution the following year. After that, Daichi seemingly retired to Florida, only briefly speaking with No. 5 in January 2020.
He would later rejoin the Fourth Cafe in 2021, ostensibly to help out No. 5 once again. His vast knowledge has thus far proven incredibly useful, though he has been rather reluctant to be particularly forthcoming with anything. Even so, he did help Manager No. 7 uncover the truth behind her parentage, even if it took him a while to get to it.
Personality
Daichi, as expected, is rather slothful, preferring to take life at his own pace and spending his days lounging around and drinking Of course, this is likely because his nature as an Ouroborian demon means he does not exist within time, per se, but rather on the outside, so he feels less pressure than other mortals. Even so, when he does bother to lift a metaphorical finger, he is a useful, fairly loyal ally, as shown by the way he has stuck by No. 5 all these years.
Ties That Bind
- Is the son of Sophie Grenbelrn, and they seem to have a pretty good relationship.
- Knows Manager No. 5 from their days in IRIS, but also seems to know Manager No. 6, Manager No. 4 and Ex-Employee 44A far more than he should upon their first meeting. Though, given his relationship with time, it's likely he knew them from previous Spheres.
- Pretty friendly with No. III.
