I am what one might call a "time traveler," though I dislike the term. No, I am a historian, an archivist, and a bibliophile at best.

"John Doe" is the head of Pendragon's Bistro, and No. IV of the Last Cafe. He goes by many names, and is an old ally of the Cafe and Diner.

Biography

"John" is a long-time ally of the Cafe and Diner, though he primarily works as the head of Pendragon's Bistro. He is able to travel between Cycles at will due to the Society's large library of magical books, however it has been suggested that he may have powers of his own.

He first crossed paths with the CaD in 1995, when he sent the First Cafe several messages requesting his assistance in saving both his Cycle, later known as "Indigo Prime", as well as the CaD's own. Though the specific events that occurred are unknown, they were known as the Indigo Wars. Presumably, the joint efforts of "John" and the First Cafe were successful.

"John" and the Bistro would later reappear in October 2017, under threat from Miss. Umbra and his own Dark forces, specifically Mrs. Cannon and Miss. Gemini. The customers stole pieces of a precious Mechanism of the Bistro's, and "John" - or "Mevon", as he is known in the Bistro - asked the Florida Cafe to take care of those pieces, and to retrieve the others that were stolen. The Cafe would lose the pieces to another customer but, unbeknownst to the Bistro, this was intentional.

"John"'s next major interaction with the Cafe and Diner was in January 2022, when he assisted the Fourth Cafe in locating Mr. Bartlett. Specifically, he used the Antikythera Mechanism, as well as the Society's expansive library and potentially his own powers to search his own Cycle, the Otherworld, the Tuskkin worldline and "Wandsun Prime" for Dover, along with Julia Wandsun and Victoria Ward. In that Cycle, he spoke to "Satan" and Shaka before leaving. Dover would later arrive in the CaD's Cycle. He would also surface as No. IV of the mysterious Last Cafe later that year.

Personality

"John" can often come across as a little confusing, greeting people he's never met as old friends, or discussing matters irrelevant to the issues at hand. This is because his "time travelling" means he often meets people in different Cycles, and knows pieces of potential past events. He is also very intelligent, and rather knowledgeable in multiple disciplines.

• Has an unknown connection to "Satan" from Wandsun Prime, though their ideas "tend to overlap" and he finds them difficult to work with.
