Jennifer H. is the current Owner of the Cafe and Diner, and has been with the CaD since 1995. She is known for her innate power of Second Vision, and was the Owner of the Second Cafe and Diner.

Biography

Jennifer is one of the longest serving employees of the Cafe and Diner, and the joint longest serving manager alongside Manager No. 2. Along with No. 2 and Ex-44A, she joined the CaD in August 1995, using the code name Medium. Alongside the rest of the First Cafe, she is considered one of the "Anathemas", who fought Satan and sealed him away.

After the "death" of the original Owner, Jennifer received a promotion, becomaftering head of the Second Cafe and Diner, using the code name "Black Coffee". Though it was a far rougher team than the First, she had support in the form of "Red Eye" and "Galao". Together, the Cafe fought against Asmodeus's schemes, the remnants of the Church of Satan, and a nefarious plot by A23 to destroy the Otherside with the angel Abaddon. However, Cafes have a nasty habit of going up in smoke, and the Second Cafe ended in 2004.

Her actions after this are as yet unknown, due to the ~12 year as-yet-unfilled gap between the Second Cafe's ending and Third Cafe's beginning. However, she was living with No. 2 when Manager No. 3 visited them in August 2017. Due to No. 2's known membership in the Deep Corp 23, alongside Jennifer's former co-worker Lucifer and mentor Jean, it is likely she was also part of that organisation. She later aided the Third Cafe during the Cafe Crisis. After Muldra Yonomo's takeover of the Cafe, she was given the title of Manager No. 1.

Jenni was a steady presence during the Fourth Cafe's Otherworldly Adventures, finding the Lightning Bolt antekey with 44A and 44B. After Manager No. 0's departure from the Cafe and Diner, she was once more promoted to Owner of the Cafe and Diner, and has been leading the organisation ever since.

Personality

Jenni is a serious person, goal-oriented like her mentor. After almost 30 years in the coffee trade, she has seen it all, and it shows in her tired demeanour. There is little that can surprise her, and she has a tendency to take everything in her stride, making her a perfect leader for the CaD in a time where the coffee is getting colder than ever.

Ties That Bind

• Has a great respect for Ex-Manager No. 0; their relationship is that of mentor/protégé.
• Seems to be friendly with Manager No. 2, most likely due to their long history together.
• Used to date Ex-44B; the breakup was messy, compounded by the apparent death of 8, and they found it difficult to work together for years.
• Has been targeted by Miss. Ojai multiple times. He was originally believed dead after the Fire Siege of 2003, but reappeared to harass the Fourth Cafe in 2020, though his tab was soon paid in full.
