I feel like no one gets what I’m trying to do anymore.
Shaka is the mysterious sometimes friend, sometimes ally of the Cafe and Diner. He is also the head of the Zulu fast food joint and, while he isn't an elderly person, he's certainly around middle aged.
Biography
Shaka has existed for around 7 Spheres to date. He is the proxy for the Secret in the Sphere, and knows far more than he is willing or able to tell. He is a Half-Elder, and the head of the Zulu Cult. Shaka is a major player in the coffee business, and his work takes him to many different Cycles.
Shaka's first known major interaction with the CaD was in 2001, when he joined the Second Cafe under the name "Lungo". He quickly took a step back however, replacing himself with "Romano" for the day to day business, though he still remained with the Cafe until its closure in 2004.
Strangely enough, Shaka's next appearance seems to have been in Manager No. 7's dream in late January 2020; she described seeing "A guy in an expensive suit with a teal mask on his face with a stitched-up mouth.", which matches with descriptions of Shaka. He would later physically appear in March 2020, in order to pay off Mrs. Morrison's tab, possibly in full. He was also acquainted with Mx. Liguori around this time, though this is almost certainly a long-lasting and ongoing relationship.
Shaka is noted to be one of the many people attempting to re-shut the Gates of Hell in the Cycle designated as "Wandsun Prime". However, his next appearance was to the Fourth Cafe. Specifically, he was recruited to be a member of the Last Cafe, using the codename V. His initial job seemed to be to fill in the ranks of the Last Cafe, and he did so by allowing the events that would bring VI and VII into the fold, though IV seems to have the final member handled.
Personality
Shaka is a very mysterious, annoyingly cryptic person, almost never speaking plainly. As such, little is known of his actual personality, though he appears rather detached and almost weary. He is always composed, and is completely willing to make morally questionable decisions for the greater good.
Ties That Bind
- Is the proxy for the Secret in the Sphere, and presumably has been for the past seven or so Spheres.
- Seemingly a member of the Sons of Ill-Intent, alongside Complexico and Indrid Cold.
