Haagenti has been stopped. I am still very ashamed of what Rune’s ambitions led me to, but I must admit, they did leave me with plenty of contingencies. With Haagenti out of the picture, I’ve destroyed any notes on this horrible concoction. It is a gruesome way to go, having your physical body transmuted into liquid metal. Of course, you have to force your victim to drink the poison well in advance for it to take root.

Or you can always slip it in their wine, just in case.

S.O.T.

Algani: Rune. You’ve returned.

Dingane: Not as a King.

Algani: You will always be a King, Rune. And I’ve— I’ve missed you.

Dingane: Me? Or the power I brought you?

Algani: Hmph. We made such a good team.

Dingane: You can stop this. You don’t have to…

Algani: I can stop this? That’s rich coming from you, Rune. I am an Alchemist. You promised me the Philosopher’s Stone. And just as we were about to—You betrayed us!

Dingane: I didn’t betray you. I was stopped. I needed to be stopped. Haage… you should know a Philosopher’s Stone isn’t a good idea. It corrupts the equivalency of the universe.

Algani: Equivalency is the limitation of fools. Nothing in this universe is equal. It was born from inequality from the beginning. You and I, we could have righted that wrong. We could have—

Dingane: We can still try.

Algani: So, you will return?

Dingane: No. We can still try, but not as Kings. Dominions don’t breed equality. I’m sure that the Folistes—

Algani: The Folistes? You’ve already moved on. You never cared about us, did you?

Dingane: That’s not true…

[Algani held out his hand, bidding a demon of the Mammonsoleum toward Dingane. Upon clenching his fist, Algani transmuted the demon’s flesh and blood into a violent shower of molten gold.]

Algani: I don’t need you, Rune.

Dingane: …I’m…

Algani: Right. You won’t stay dead.

[As Algani held out his hand to push further demons toward Dingane, Dingane clenched her own fist, causing Algani’s body to transmute into slowly melting gold.]

Dingane: …sorry.
