I agree with Jericho. Julius is as good as dead. He was dead the second he made a deal with the Widow, Eve. There’s a reason she’s called “The Widow,” beyond her general spider-like features—she kills every partner she works with. Her eons removed from reality messed her up—she doesn’t “feel” like we do. Like anyone does. Sure, some Elders have been around long enough that they don’t feel much. Conversely, some Elders are so new they don’t know what to feel yet. But Eve? She feels nothing at all.
Killing off the Morbid King was one thing. To Eve, the Morbid King was a means to an end, a puppet that had outlived her usefulness. But killing off her children? Even the ones who sided with her, schemed with her, and served her faithfully? That was cold. And I can guarantee if there is any small fragment of love left in Eve, it wouldn’t be wasted on Julius of all people. He’s another pawn to her. He’s probably only useful because of the ease with which he can absorb the Sebitti’s powers.
So, then, it’s clear, isn’t it? Taking out the sun isn’t Fenrir’s plan; it must be Eve’s. I’m sure that Fenrir benefits from their arrangement somehow. But what could he possibly gain when he’s just going to end up killed by the Widow at the end of it? And Fenrir, he’s not stupid. From everything I’ve heard of him, he’s actually quite smart. He has to know that this will only end up with him dead, so what does he stand to gain? I hope we can save him. I really do. But… Eve is sadistic. Even if we do find a way to spare him, she’ll still want him dead. While she might not feel anything anymore, she does seem to get some sick enjoyment from other’s suffering.
