The Locker is somehow worse than I remember. Though, it seems that everything here is, more or less, business as usual. I’m guessing that word of Leviathan’s death hasn’t reached the Locker yet. If the inmates had heard of his defeat, I’m certain they would be mounting some sort of escape effort. Or, perhaps, they are simply content to rot away in here. It is still more of a city than a prison, after all. And if I was condemned to serve a life sentence here, I might try to make the best of it as well.
As Mercutio suggested, we snuck into the back of the Locker through the Necropolis. Interestingly enough, the whirlpool doesn’t lead to the top of the Spire of Night… but to the bottom. I suppose this must be how the Necropolis keeps its Labyrinth full of monsters. Or at least one of the ways. I wonder if Leviathan knew about this back door into the Necropolis. It’s not the only connection between the two Planes. But it is a glaring hole in the Locker’s security.
As for our Sebitti hunt—it is not going well. It is extremely hard to catch natural light beams all the way down here. We can get a beam or two every so often, but the light fades when we start heading toward where the Sun is pointing. We’re narrowing down places we don’t think the Sebitti could be, though it is difficult to both scour the Locker and avoid the prisoners. Twain is using one of the Shaka miracles to keep our presence hidden, and Mercutio seems to be keeping our water-breathing sigil up without too much effort or stress on his Blight. We’ve searched about half of the Locker so far. Not top to bottom, of course. But, if we get to the other end of the Locker and still aren’t sure where the Sebitti is… we’ll probably have to get a little more meticulous in our search.
