Pathologist is very excited to study the Protodemons, since they've only come across one Protodemon and two surprisingly helpful Elders. While the utter lack of Protodemon encounters would normally disappoint me… I must say my vigor for cataloging and studying the Protodemons has never been higher! For a forsaken Plane shrouded in darkness, corruption, and chaos, it’s surprisingly peaceful here. There are very few Protodemons or newly awoken Elders moving about. Yes, I think I could easily set up shop here for a few years, and I would probably be just fine. In fact, we’ve only run into one Protodemon—some sort of creature whose anatomy was made out of what appeared to be swords and blood—and only two rather quiet Elders, who were surprisingly willing to give us directions.
I will say there is an undeniably tense atmosphere in the Lost Garden. There is a constant feeling of being watched, and every movement reverberates through the countless webs relaying information to the Silken Throne of the Widow Eve. But, on the positive side of things, it does mean the residents of the Garden are all very well-behaved! I wonder what Eve does to those who act out… probably best not to find out. Not yet, anyway. Capgras was able to secure his Brine, though, and now we only need to visit the original Tree of Knowledge at the center of the Garden, and then we shall escape this strange place.
I am somewhat saddened to say we probably have little reason to return. According to the I.C.E. Machine Capgras provided me for this trip, there are no signs of the Sebitti anywhere in Black Eden. It is possible the I.C.E. Machine does not work on such a strange Plane, but even if the Sebitti were here, they’d be under the all-seeing eyes of Eve, and I imagine she wouldn’t be too pleased to have a six-foot-four goliath try and consume their souls. So, if they are here, good luck stealing them from her, Fenrir.
