Summary of Receipt

Pathologist joins Capgras for a trek into the Black Eden, since he's excited about researching the 'Protodemons', which - from the examples given - are very strange indeed. He also manages to get a Blood Signature from the Sebetti corpse the Zulus have, so hooking that up to a portable I.C.E. Machine should help them figure out if any of the Sebitti are in the Black Eden.

I’ll join your endeavor, my dear, Capgras. While many find the idea of venturing into the warped and depraved realm of the Mistress of Eden a living nightmare, I’m personally more excited by the opportunity. Ever since the reintroduction of Protodemons, I’ve been extremely fascinated by studying their physiology. Compared to typical Demons and Cryptids, Protodemons are so alien and unusual. A living fountain that curses people with immortality? A creature who harbors an entire plane within its own embryonic shell? A notebook that eats knowledge? A cup that drinks the blood of those that drink from it? It’s simply a cavalcade of the strange and bizarre!

Of course, I doubt this trip will provide sufficient opportunity for the study of Protodemons, but my studies on them must start somewhere. Getting at least familiar with the Plane of Eden will do me good and will ease the pain of shuttering my business in Long Island. Once your Sebitti problem is dealt with, and I suppose this Rune situation too, I think I’d like to spend a few years in Black Eden composing the first official study of Protodemons. You know, Shaka, you could be a co-author! I’m sure it would help bolster your reputation quite a bit and help cement you as the true successor to the former Shaka.

Though, on the topic of the Sebitti, the corpse we have in our possession was able to provide me with a Blood Signature. I can use this with an I.C.E. Machine to see if any of the remaining Sebitti are hiding out in Black Eden as we have theorized. Of course, I’ll need an I.C.E. Machine to do this, preferably a portable one, but I am sure the Agency must have a dozen or so lying around somewhere. As long as it can be tuned into E-type Blood, we’ll be in business.
