Lucifer and the Serpent watched as Abraxas stood chained between two of Demiurge's reflections, his eyes locked on the white void of the Universe before creation. Demiurge sat across from him, his face obscured by the light of a thousand stars.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself, Abraxas?" Demiurge's voice echoed, hollow and cold.

"I did what had to be done."

Demiurge let out a humorless laugh, slamming his fist onto the marble table. "What had to be done? You have ruined everything. You have tainted the Utopias. You’ve altered fundamental structures that should never have been touched—let alone twisted to your whims. If not for your meddling, I could have restored everything to its original state."

"We can't go back. We would lose everything. Starting over means sacrificing all we’ve built. You would lose my family, my kingdom, your mortals, your creations." Abraxas pleaded, his eyes searching the abyssal gaze of Demiurge.

"A necessary sacrifice."

"My Lord…" Abraxas began, desperation seeping into his voice.

Metatron raised his hand, his booming ethereal voice filling the chamber. "Abraxas, vassal to House Kaos, you are charged with the sin of creation. How do you plead?"

Abraxas turned his head and spat at Demiurge's feet. "I am no vassal. There is no House Kaos here."

"How do you plead?"

"Foolish to think you were any different."

"Foolish is not acceptable. How do you plead?"

Abraxas shook his head, his gaze returning to the endless void. "...Guilty."

"Sinner pleads guilty. Deferral to Master Demiurge for sentencing," Metatron declared, turning his eyes to Demiurge.

"I… I am no…" Demiurge’s voice faltered. He lowered his head, and in a cold, emotionless tone, said, "Exile. Imprisonment and exile. Those who aided Abraxas are to be banished from Arcadia and Above. I do not wish to have them in my Court. They may remain in Skald until this mistake is corrected but they will forever be branded as accomplices. And Abraxas is to be imprisoned and exiled to Hell—his precious children to be his surety."

"Hell?!" Abraxas shouted, struggling against the Entropic chains. "I will not return to Entropy!"

"It is a different Hell, Abraxas," Demiurge replied, rising from his throne at the center of the white void. "True, my father taught me his method of dealing with troublesome Archons. But you will not go to the Hell my father ministered—you will go to a lonely and empty Hell—my Hell."

"Please, my Lord, my... my Master, De-Demiurge, you can't—"

"It is a heavy debt to bear. I am sorry, my friend. What’s done is done." Demiurge raised his hand, and in a flash, Abraxas was gone, his children banished from Demiurge's court Above. All except for Lucifer and Belphegor. Lucifer stood in shock, while Belphegor appeared resigned, dejected.

"What… what about us? What’s going to happen to us?" Lucifer asked, her voice trembling as the remaining creations of Demiurge began to disperse.

Metatron turned to her, his eyes cold and lifeless. "You were born after Abraxas committed his sin. You are not culpable. Belphegor made a deal. She is absolved."

"A deal?" Lucifer's eyes darted between Metatron and Belphegor. "What deal?"

"You wouldn't understand," Belphegor replied, her voice distant as she turned away from her sister.

"Belphegor…"

"It was fated to be."

"What do you mean it was fated to be?"

Belphegor did not respond, walking past Lucifer toward the war room where the other creations of Demiurge were gathering. Lucifer stood frozen, struggling to find the words she needed, but before she could speak, the door to the war room closed with a finality that echoed in the silence.

"Belphegor, please—you can't leave me like this!"

"Psst," the Serpent hissed, slithering up to Lucifer. "I know a way in. Come on."

Lucifer nodded, and the Serpent led the way.
