On April 18th, 2020, myself and Victoria traveled to the Necropolis with the help of Seth to track down the demon Daedalus. We managed to find Daedalus, and we spoke with him regarding the Labyrinth and the Otherworld. The transcript is below. (Is this too formal? I’m so used to writing receipts for like the whole Cafe, but now that it’s just like for Victoria, Nick, and yourself, I’m not sure. Are these supposed to be like for posterity’s sake, or are they supposed to be more like usual receipts?)

No. 26: …Alright. Well, I’ll be back in… 30 minutes? Is that enough time for… whatever you’re up to?
No. 7: I think so.
No. 71: Hang on. 30 minutes your time or our time?
No. 26: What’s the conversion again?
No. 7: Conversion?
No. 71: Oh yeah, you’re still newish to this stuff. Time flows differently between planes. Uh… it’s, what, like 8 minutes off? So, 4 hours for you.
No. 26: Got it. I’ll be back in 4 hours. It should give you 30ish minutes. Though it’d be easier if I just stuck around.
No. 71: Nice try, Warren. Ain’t gonna happen. This here is a top-secret order.
No. 26: Alright, alright. Try not to die.
[No. 26 has left CaDCom transcription range]
No. 71: Now! Let’s get to it, blondie.
…
No. 71: Daedalus?
Mr. Gehrels: Ah, if it isn’t Victoria. And a guest. What brings you to the Necropolis? Dead?
No. 71: Oh, no, not yet. We actually came to ask for your help on something. Also, this is Julia, she’s new.
Mr. Gehrels: She’s radiant. Oddly so. Still, charmed. Now, what can I help you with? Are you stuck in the Otherside again? Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to repair the Folly-
No. 71: Oh! No, we’re good! We sorta have a Folly of our now.
Mr. Gehrels: Is that so? Fascinating. Then what brings you here? It is not the best timing considering the war.
No. 71: Yeah, we’ve heard there’s a war going on down here. Is Umbra the one attacking?
Mr. Gehrels: Not only the Shadow Man but the entirety of the Shadowfolk and Pit Dwellers. They are being led by an entity known as the Morbid King.
No. 71: Huh. Morbid King… that sounds familiar. Though we came here to ask if you know anything about Dolos.
Mr. Gehrels: The trickster spirit?
No. 7: Yes.
Mr. Gehrels: A myth. As far as I am aware.
No. 71: Zeus, Nyx, Hades…?
Mr. Gehrels: Mythological figures.
No. 71: Okay… but King Minos?
Mr. Gehrels: I knew him in life. I built his labyrinth.
No. 7: That’s a strange line to draw between fact and fiction.
Mr. Gehrels: Is it so? I am sure the Gods and Titans were simply beings we did not have the same words for when I was alive. Now I would assume they are, or were, Demons, Princes, and Elders. For example, Hades and the Underworld are very clearly Mistress Asmodeus and the Necropolis, is it not?
No. 71: See… that’s the interesting thing, Daedalus. New planes are opening up. Planes of myth. And Olympus is one of them. Gods and all. Show him your tattoo, Jules. This symbol seems to be tied to this “Otherworld.”
Mr. Gehrels: An interesting design. Seems to indicate four planes.
No. 7: Yes. Uh, there’s Olympus, but also Avalon and Nightmarch.
No. 71: And we aren’t sure yet, but we have a strong hunch that the fourth plane is of Norse mythology.
Mr. Gehrels: And Nightmarch?
No. 71: Japanese.
Mr. Gehrels: I see… so myths are becoming real? Fascinating. Though I don’t see how I could be of help.
No. 71: Well, right now, some of my associates are trapped in a labyrinth created by Dolos. And we figured you might know a thing or two about labyrinths.
Mr. Gehrels: I see… Unfortunately, if what you say is true, it is outside of my knowledge. If this Dolos is the Dolos of mythology, then I can only assume his labyrinth isn’t fair. Now, may I ask you a question?
No. 71: Shoot.
Mr. Gehrels: In the Flipside, am I considered a myth too?
No. 71: Yeah, more or less.
Mr. Gehrels: So am I, or should I say the myth of Daedalus, also in this “Otherworld?”
No. 71: That’s the big question. Though, say there is a myth version of Daedalus. What would you make of that?
Mr. Gehrels: If there is a mythological version of myself, then I think it safe to say that this Otherworld is not a natural occurrence. It is a construct, most likely the work of a powerful Elder, perhaps one of the Cold Elders. If there is not a mythological version of myself, then I suppose it could be that long ago, these Otherworld Planes did very well exist and interact with the Flipside, leading to present-day mythology. They were removed from the cosmos at some point but are now returning.
No. 71: Entire planes removed?
Mr. Gehrels: It’s not unheard of. Rare. But not unheard of.
No. 71: Interesting. Thank you, Daedalus.
Mr. Gehrels: Of course, always happy to lend a hand, Victoria.
