RECEIPT AS OF: 7/20/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: BLACK COFFEE
RECEIPT FILED AS: TBS-01
I can't say I wasn't expecting this. It would seem that the newly reopened Cafe and Diner received its first official order for some comfort food and late nights. Seems like we have some family down in Borrego who could use a nice cup of Cafe and Diner Coffee. Pretty tall order, too. It seems like our customer dines Italian and has already had a couple of free meals. She goes by the name of Mrs. Helm. Not Miss. Helm, not yet anyway. She's still blissfully wed, and I expect her to stay that way. Seems like the tourists were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
So far, she's had three confirmed meals and might have had another four, although the receipts are missing. Tourists have been placed on a high alert, though they have also already been provided coffee with a dash of pepper for spice. Now, Mrs. Helm typically orders an assortment of fruit and not much else. All in all, a pretty standard Big Step forward for the Cafe, as far as I can tell. Mrs. Helm and her family may have been Borrego residents for at least 125 years. Or she might just be stopping in from Ottawa to dine out.
Galao, Doppio, and I are pretty busy with the NCN tab at the moment. Would anyone else be available for service down in Borrego? I'd expect a decently loud-mouthed customer who might not be the easiest to serve. Though, like I said, this customer is a pretty typical Big Step for the Cafe. We have large shoes to fill. I wouldn't expect anything too out of the ordinary from her in that regard. I'd like to chart her a flight home, but I'm also not against closing her tab for good—considering how many meals she's already indulged in.
