DINER RECEIPT
RECEIPT NUMBER: TBP07
RECEIPT DATE: 10 30 1988
MANAGER TITLE: EIGHT
RECEIPT NOTES:

Alright, gang, I think I’ve cracked this whole big picture thing. :) That’s what you wanted me to do, right, Baltz? Figure out what your deal with the Cafe and Diner is, was, and will be? Well—I think I’ve got it now. You aren’t who you say you are, Blackwood can’t say who he really is, and our lovely Lady Lucy? She’s how we got into this mess in the first place. Both times.

Now, don’t take this as a personal attack, yeah? Everyone’s a mess, and that’s what makes us great—makes us human… or mortal, at least. But here’s what I’ve pieced together: you three have caused one hell of a lot of problems for the balance you’re so intent on keeping. Realistically? The world, the Universe—everything, everywhere, and everyone—might actually be better off without the Cafe and Diner. So, is it really worth all the trouble it’s bound to cause?

…Yes. I think it is. I think the Cafe and Diner will be worth the trouble. :)

We’re up against some seriously Cold cats, and you—our cozy little slipper-seller—you’ll keep us warm. What else would Fate have you make, if not a pair of warm socks, a nice scarf, or maybe some mittens? But that’s the thing, isn’t it? You’re still weaving just as much as Fate is. The question is: will you get squashed like the spider—or will you out-weave the friendly face of Fate?

Speaking of spiders, you really need to keep this Cafe clean. You’ve left way too many dark and cluttered spaces for a certain spider to fester. Not pointing fingers or anything—but is that what you want? Is that what she wants? Is that what He wants? Or… maybe I’m still not seeing the whole big picture after all. Makes you wonder how things’ll look in the future, though, huh?
