SPS06 (Sep 18, 2001)
Summary of Receipt
The Greek Fire worked, and the Spire is now semi-stable again. They also managed to save one of the bottles of Greek Fire which Carajillo intends to give to his Grand Blightstone, which is his cult’s regional leader. He muses if the CaD would help the Wicked Cult, but - since they’re dead and with no rescue - it seems that there’s not much hope. Anyway, then Lungo shows up.

RECEIPT AS OF: 9/18/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: CARAJILLO
RECEIPT FILED AS: SPS-06
As anticipated, the power of the fire was glorious. The verdant flames caressed the fractured glass of the Spire with such beauty and grace. They did not consume; they only danced gracefully, weaving a tapestry of blazing beauty. Each flicker of the fabled fire fused the glass back into shape with a truly ethereal chime that whispered ancient songs of the Golden Father. I know he looks upon this work from beyond the veil, and he is pleased.
And it only took us three of the four bottles I was given. I intend to keep the fourth bottle and return it to my Grand Blightstone. Perhaps, in time, we can uncover the secrets of this fire once more and relight another of the seven sacred torches. I cannot say much more about that, but I have grown quite close to all of you, even if I do not show it. Perhaps once Mistress is dealt with, we can turn our attention toward aiding the children of the Golden Father? Ah, but that is all idle dreams until we escape this place. I am of no use if I am dead. None of us are.
And how can we escape this place? We mended the Spire of Night, just as Al-Kindi said, but I fail to see our promised escape. This is all the good that karma gives you. I suppose acquiring the fire was more than a just reward, but only for myself. And even that is worthless once we are truly dead. In the end, I guess expecting a miracle would have been far too much to— is that Lungo?
