Summary of Receipt

They’ve finally reached the portal. Galao suggests possibly sending everyone else back while she stays behind, closes the portal, and uses her nature as a Prince of Hell - even if she doesn’t have any powers - to try and find her way out of the Labyrinth and escape while destroying Asmodeus’ network of nightclubs. However, she also agrees that that’s extremely risky and decides to just head back and figure out another way to get rid of the taglocked portals, though she has a strange feeling that they won’t reach Long Beach so easily.

RECEIPT AS OF: 9/30/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: GALAO
RECEIPT FILED AS: SIL-05

Well… it looks like we found our taglocked exit. It certainly wasn’t easy to get to, but I guess that’s the point of it being hidden. I think we only managed to stun the creature that was guarding it, so once we leave, it should remain pretty safely hidden. Not that many are clamoring to go this far into the Labyrinth. Though… we do have the unique opportunity to stop Mistress. If we destroy this taglock, we cut off her entire network of nightclubs, and, like me, it would probably sever the connection she has to her Plane. We could end this here and now.

Of course, first, the rest of the Cafe would need to return to Long Beach. There’s no sense in trapping them here and condemning them to the afterlife. But… I could always hang back. I mean, sure, as I am right now, I don’t think I’d be able to find my way back out of the Labyrinth. I guess there is the worry that if I die here, there’s no saying what’ll happen after I die. Usually, death isn’t much of a concern for me or my siblings. It’s more of an inconvenience than anything. But if I’m not actually tapped into my Plane… mm…

I guess it’d be safer for me to just return to Long Beach, too. We can figure out where my light has gone from there. And then, maybe we can find our way back here to take out this taglock once and for all. But there’s no saying what will happen when I touch it this time. Hopefully, it’ll return everything to how it was before we ended up stuck in the Necropolis. We’ll pop out back in Long Beach, and maybe I’ll be back to my normal self. I have a sinking feeling that it’s never that easy, though, is it?

Well, if it was easy, it wouldn’t be worth doing.
