RECEIPT #009

EMPLOYEE #44
Tab Paid for RRR care of #62, #53, and #26
#62 asked me to close out this tab for her while she further tweaks her new setup in the back office. For those unaware, #62 created a new, very heavy piece of equipment for the Cafe, which will be stored in the back office for the time being. While the new equipment wasn’t built specifically for Mr. Higden, he still got a kick out of it. In fact, he was so pleased with this new piece of tech in the back office that he decided it was time to pack up and return to Canada without us even having to book him a flight!
Mostly, anyway. The problem #62 is working on now is that Mr. Higden, despite willingly returning home, seems to be having trouble leaving the back office. The “e” part of the office is what seems to be malfunctioning, specifically. Theoretically, that could be… catastrophic. While I only have a working understanding of #62’s new gadget, I worry that if Mr. Higden hangs around too long, he could reach for some condensed milk for his coffee. Heavily condensed. And then when he eventually leaves our back office, it could be a big problem.
However, it could also just be a unique quirk of Mr. Higden’s personality and appearance. He isn’t quite like any of our other customers after all. But, regardless of what happens in the back office, Mr. Higden has, for all intents and purposes, left Long Beach and will not be back—unless Padre brings him back. We don’t have control over that, but we can hope that Mr. Higden isn’t a cheap customer for Padre to bring in. Additionally, before dealing with Mr. Higden, I managed to store away seven vials of Mr. Higden’s unique cruor. Ideally, I’d like to turn these into Anathema trackers, which I can have #17 help me with.
