Seems Big Daddy came through for me with the identity of Aka’s other China Plate. Visayas. Nasty piece of work she is. Well, she almost has to be to associate ‘erself with the Dark. Now, I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with Visayas and ‘er drum ‘n bass before. She’s got a rather large nuclear family… which is to say she ain’t unique. Well—I guess I can’t rabbit and pork for our specific Visayas working with Umbra and his trouble and strife. There must be something about ‘er that sets ‘er apart. Something that let ‘er win Aka’s ball and chain. Of course, something like that is not something Big Daddy could just pick up from behind Ringo Starr.

Right, so who or what is Visayas? She’s a right haunt; that much was already known. Named after ‘er favorite local rub-a-dub-dub, ‘course, she’s been around more than just the Philippines. The main thing that sets her apart is her bottom ‘alf is all but missing. I reckon that’s how Big Daddy was able to recognize her once he got a good butcher’s cut at her. Now we all know that bed sheets really only come about by being the worst of the worst over here, yeah? I’m no expert on what makes what, but I reckon there’s a good reason Visayas and ‘er drum ‘n bass are missing their better ‘alf. Take that as charitably as you’d like… it’s all speculation, nonetheless.

Now, I can’t help but feel Umbra’s made a bit of a mistake in bringing Visayas on. See—Aka, Umbra, Pleasant, hell… Florida, to some extent, they are all bleedin’ hard to deal with. Aka is the king of loopholes, Umbra is all but untouchable, Pleasant is ancient as sin, and Florida can hop around to his ‘eart’s content. Visayas? She’s got a proper allium allergy. Not even just alliums; the whole world seems to be hostile to her. Salt, water, light, daggers, vinegar, spices… bleeding stingray tails. Honestly, I’d be surprised if there was something Visayas wasn’t afraid of or allergic to. It gives us loads of options to deal with her, at least.
