I wasn’t able to find my way to Dracula Drive yesterday. I’m not surprised, all things considered. While I don’t know exactly how to get to Dracula Drive, I know that it was heavily tied to Dr. Crow, and now that he’s dead, the way is likely lost. Then again, despite Dr. Crow’s madness, he was extremely meticulous, almost to the point of obsession. He had to have left some safeguards or clues on how to get there, even if he was dead. On the other hand, he died with his research and his lab, probably the only way he would’ve wanted to die.
#17 has put me in touch with a few connections he has around the Hotbed, though they’ve all come up empty as well. The only notable thing I’ve found is that Dr. Crow’s House and the actual lane it resides on Dracula Drive are technically two separate… “entities.” I know that seems obvious in retrospect, but I always assumed it was a package deal. Worse, while there are a few customers who might know the way to Dracula Drive, there’s no guarantee the actual house of Dr. Crow would still be there. That, and Dracula Drive isn’t exactly a short or straight road.
I guess the good news is that if we can’t find Dr. Crow’s house, neither can the Open Doors Church. I hope no one can find that horrid place. It should stay a permanent coffin for Crow and his experiments. However, if Dr. Crow’s house isn’t part of the equation… it brings us back to the bigger question: how will the Open Doors Church and their Nicaraguan Coffee seller Augustine Sarcophim realign the planets with Mr. Mayne? There’s something missing, and I can’t help but feel like whatever it is lies within the house on Dracula Drive.
