Summary of Receipt

Black Coffee says to go check out Asmodeus’s nightclubs - places for Otherside inhabitants to meet - and starts searching around. She then mentions the most likely one Mrs. Weyer, who they’re trying to meet, would be in, known as the Marquis Masquerade, and asks for volunteers to help out.

RECEIPT AS OF: 7/17/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: BLACK COFFEE
RECEIPT FILED AS: NCN-01
Well, after a week or so of researching and having some other pieces of information brought together, I think the best path forward lies in Mistress’ many nightclubs. Specifically, I think we should scope out The Diamond, or I guess it’s called The Ruby now, and see if Mrs. Weyer is still heading security for their weekly “Perversion” event. If he’s not there, we have a host of other nightclubs we can check out, from Clockwork Orange to Dungeon to Blue Mondays and also Velvet. That is to say, we have options.

I’ve also been interviewing tourist-attendees of these events, and it seems there are some “secret” events and some hidden venues. Two of them caught my interest, “Gray Lining” and the “Marquis Masquerade.” The Gray Lining is apparently an absolutely debaucherous event hosted by Dorian Gray. Tourists believe this to be a character of sorts, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was none other than Mr. Gray himself. Apparently, The Gray Lining can only be attended by those who are invited, and the location and times are kept under heavy lock-and-key. While Mr. Gray is an easy target for information, that was when we had a bargaining chip against him. Still, it might be a useful resource later.

The other secret event is the Marquis Masquerade. Now, if I had to choose an event that Mrs. Weyer would be certain to attend, it would be that one. However, the location where this Masquerade is held changes weekly. So, if we are unable to find Mrs. Weyer at Perversion this Thursday, we should at the very least try to ascertain the location of the next Masquerade event. Gothy nightclubs have never really been my “scene,” and I worry that I would stick out too much if I went alone. Not to mention, there’s not much I could do to protect myself against Mrs. Weyer or any of her ilk. So if anyone feels like partying this Thursday, just let me know.
