CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT
DATE: 6/2E/16
BY R.R.
HORRORS CASE NO. 2

Hello everyone. While I'm sure most of you remember me from high school, if you don't, I was J.L.'s girlfriend for around four years. To clear the air, we ended things on… amicable terms. And to dispel any potential rumors: I broke up with her, it wasn't over anything too serious, and I don't hold anything against her. If I did, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to join her Cafe and Diner, would I? Our relationship is well in the past, however. It's been four years since we were together. There's no need to trudge through any of those memories again. And I wouldn't want to make C.C. uncomfortable with my presence either.

All that said, I fear I had little choice in joining the Cafe and Diner. Since early May, my dreams have been plagued with visions of a generic combination cafe and diner, one that brings great trouble but always seems to be worth it in the end. Blinking neon signs, blazing hellfires, hazy nightclubs, and shattered mugs—strange signs and symbols perhaps from Cafes in the past, all urging me toward a Cafe in the present and perhaps well into the future.

I suppose I should stop myself there, as discussion of dreams is rather boring to most, especially in the Diner. To stay awake during such droll ramblings, one would certainly need to stop by the Cafe. J.L. helped me get caught up in the lingo of our business yesterday. I do hope I am using it correctly. Though, to clear any confusion that may linger as to why I joined the Cafe—it seems to be the same reason C.C. joined: something in my dreams has been calling to me. Though interestingly, my dreams do not fully align with C.C.'s. But that is a topic for a different receipt.
