Receipt: GNY01
Author: Ichabod
Status: Diner
Subject: Business as Usual

San pran souf, and like that, we are in New York. Of course, it is less of a homecoming for me than it is for Amber and Brent, no? Brent’s lovely—and ethical, I am sure—butcher shop and the location of the Cafe Amber was once assigned to. For me, however, it is just another place, eh? Our first stop is Brent’s shop, which he refuses to let me name in this receipt for fear of friendly competition. To me, he is paranoid. Unless he’s been butchering more than meat there. Surely not. Brent Hearse, a morbid pathologist with questionable morals? Perish the thought.

At least, under our good pal Mikey’s care, I am certain Brent’s Butchery (oh, getting close to the real name, my apologies) has ceased any of its more dubious operations. You would think that after the Haunting of 112, Brent would’ve wised up to inviting unwanted spirits into his place of business. Ah—but that is where fortune and the corpse of Fate smile upon us. Mikey has given us an early warning that Hearse’s Hackshop (not quite the same ring, I’m afraid) has been serving London Fogs. I can only imagine how that came to be.

This works well in our favor, as the foremost experts on London Fogs were to be our next stop. Kyle and Zach went into the business of the beyond after the Fourth Cafe shut down. Among Kyle’s many talents, they’ve always had a knack for the especially hungry customers, the ones who can never sate their aching hunger. Of course, it helps that they were given a guidebook of sorts on the subject. In any case, we’ve arranged for a meeting of all three—Mikey, Zach, and Kyle. First, we must tidy up this Earl Gray calamity, and then, hopefully, we can head back to the West Coast.
