Choice. Yesterday, my golden dove dug up some rather interesting bits and bobs about our Aplut customer—the “Coming Storm,” I reckon. Turns out this customer was… ‘eaven and ‘ell, is there a better way to put it? ‘e’s the pseudo-child of Lucy and the Original Owner. ‘Course, without any real input from Lucy ‘erself… so… it’s weird, to say the least of it. Apparently, this conceptual customer was so powerful that even with the Original Owner dyin’ and all that, Beechams Pill Aplut’s still ‘ere. Well—not ‘ere-‘ere but in a state that he… or she… or, well, it, can still find its way with a hammer and tack with some outside help.

Enter in the blackest heap o’ coke, Umbra. Question is: ‘ow far along do you all suppose Umbra is with this scheme o’ve ‘is? Assumin’ Thyrs would’ve been a suitable host for Aplut—he’d have done it then and there. But that fell through. And not even from our own meddlin’ or nothin’ might I add. It just wasn’t meant to be. But now New Guy says he’s heard that Umbra and the Dark are gearing up to come to blows with us in a few days—so, I can only imagine he’s found ‘is way to get Aplut back together and out again.

Obviously, it’s some sort of trap, innit? Gotta be. Maybe he’s thinkin’ he can use our bits of the Eight to solidify ‘is “Negative” 8. Jokes on ‘im, we’re missin’ one of our thirds of a measly eighth. Nah, that can’t be what’s he’s plannin’. Well, whatever it is he wants to do—we’ve got a bottle of glue’s worth of options as I clock it: we run or we fight. Now, I know my eagerness and willing to fight has gotten us into a right Barney Rubble before, but from a realistic standpoint, we can’t leave the Cafe unguarded. I reckon we have more knickknacks and dangerous coffee-brewing kit than the Dark does. Even if it’s not to do with Aplut we can’t just let Umbra bowl and chalk in and do as he pleases, can we?
