Summary of Receipt

17 recaps Hyer's conversations with 323, attempting to decipher them. Essentially, Mrs. Pleasant is coming soon, likely working with both old and new enemies of the CaD. The CaD might be at risk of burning down soon, and the Blood Moon may have had bigger consequences than believed. Still, Hyer has faith in the CaD and decides to pass 323 a gift, so he'll be staying at the Hotbed until Hyer returns. Until then, however, his case is closed.

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM */30/17
MANAGER 17
RECEIPT: MRHYER06
STATUS: PAID?

Mr. Hyer came into the Cafe on approx. the 17th. He ordered a milkshake with home fries after presumably coming in from the Hotbed Airport. He came into contact with Manager 323 initially. We are unsure why he chose 323 and if there is any significance in that beyond random chance. After the beasts went to sleep, he met with us again for an extended conversation. It would seem that the beasts were the strange flies in the area that had dropped dead. Both of our conversations with him were limited and seemingly very out of order. Though communication with him was… hard to follow, I believe what he says can be trusted if only we can decipher its meaning.

Some important details picked up from Mr. Hyer: Mrs. Pleasant is or will be in town soon. Mrs. Pleasant is working with old and new friends. It might be wise to look out for or into any mysterious fires. The Blood Moon special might be bigger than we initially thought. According to Mr. Hyer, Mrs. Pleasant is unrelated, but I’m not actually so sure of that. Despite the trouble it seems to bring, Mr. Hyer also believes in the Cafe and Diner’s success.

While he was eager to leave, he mentioned some presents he needed to give us when the time was right. I’m not sure what that means, but Manager 323 will stay in the Mountains until we receive Mr. Hyer’s “gift”. Hopefully, it is something that will aid us in the coffee trade. For now, we are both assuming Mr. Hyer’s tab is more or less paid until his next unpredictable visit.
