Summary of Receipt

62 digs through old family records and tracks down Magdalena and Ursula Langley. Magdalena’s in New York, while Ursula’s in Salem. 62 suggests going to Magdalena first, then Ursula, and praying Malachi shows up eventually. Hopefully, Ursula isn’t too hostile, and hasn’t broken Solomon’s magic stone.

Heyo itsa me, No. 62. I know I’ve been quiet lately, but that’s for a good reason. Everyone’s been trying to track down the Langleys with their hat tricks and coffee trade secrets, but I’ve been going a more touristy route. Technology. Namely, real estate listings. It’s something that’s been bothering me for a while, and that’s the whole “longevity” of the Langleys. You don’t just get to keep public records of yourself and your holdings for that long. So, of course, they use fake names. And an oddly consistent set of fake names at that. I believe I’ve tracked down their entire “lineage” at this point.

Specifically, I think I’ve found where both Magdalena and Ursula Langley currently live. Of course, it’s just those two, but it’s still a great lead. Luckily Magdalena should be living in New York in Hell’s Kitchen. And Ursula isn’t too far away either; she still lives in Salem, apparently. Honestly, we probably should have started our search in Salem in hindsight. At least one of the Langleys was bound to stick around their hometown. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find anything about Malachi. Though, from what I’ve heard, that’s to be expected. If even No. II has trouble keeping track of him; I probably had no chance.

In any case, these are some exciting leads to look into next month! We should probably start by paying Magdalena a visit, as she’s both closer and less hostile than Ursula. Though Abner isn’t too worried about Ursula being all that hostile to anyone besides Solomon. Then again, Abner hasn’t seen her for years, and she’s never attempted to reach out, so he could be off-base with that. I think the worst-case scenario would be if Ursula threw away or broke Solomon’s stone out of spite. That would be… uh… yikes.
