I am simply buzzing with excitement for the big grand Masquerade Ball at the Dim Den! It is absolutely going to be the event of the year, maybe even the last event ever, and so I know it will be the place to be! Yes, yes, I know Umbra, and Aka, and Pleasant, and the rest of the Dark are not very good people, but I am curious, yes curious, if they can throw a good party or not. I think they can! And, and, and, I've been working with Payroll on an outfit for me! It's a deep crimson suit with golden embroidery that catches the light just right, and it's got a CAPE, yes a CAPE that flows like a river of silk. IT IS SO DASHING! And, and, and for my mask, it is dazzling PHOENIX! If the end is truly coming and Umbra wants to make us into something new, I think I would like to be reborn as something very spectacular.
But the real fun has been making everyone else's masks! Yes! I've been very busy with all the arts and crafts supplies, gluing, and coloring, and, if I may say so, PERFECTING, these masks! For Payroll, I made a sleek black hound mask, because, you see, so you see, her family crest is a dog! Her whole family loves them!! For the Manager, I made the opposite, a playful and sly white cat! Yes! That is his family's crest animal. For H.R., I made a very pretty, sparkly butterfly with every single color of the rainbow to show her transformation from a Livingstone to THE Livingstone. And for the Big Guy?? A LION! Because, you see, because he is so powerful, and regal, and he commands respect.
Hopefully, everyone loves their masks, because I know that, yes, I know that I certainly do! It is going to be so much fun! Or, well, yes, or it may be a horrible trap. But even if it is, we could probably use these masks the next time we all play Shadow Story together!! I wonder what masks the Dark will wear? Payroll says she doesn't think that they will bother to put in the effort, but I disagree. If it is a trap, Umbra did not have to specify that it would be a masquerade trap unless he was already planning on having masks.
