Summary of Receipt
Employee 44B somehow remembers the events of Sequence II. Apparently, after Manager 0 failed to make the deal with Leviathan, he went back and tried to renegotiate, and 44B grabbed the Pearl, causing Leviathan to unleash the Black Tide and all its Elder horrors. There’s also a weird sigil in the manor’s floorboards now, so he decides to ask 44A to scan the area for magical stuff while he pays a visit to the only other person who might remember Sequence II.

Ok. So. You want answers. Thankfully, I have a few. First off, this isn’t Muldra’s doing or even Sophie’s. And yes, I know this seems like something Sophie would do but, then again, does she ever do much?
No, I think we can chalk this one up to being half my fault. So after the whole Mayda Incident, I decided to have Rico take me back to Asmaidas to work things out with Leviathan. 8 and Felix might not remember the deal they made with him, but I do. Things… escalated. I grabbed the Pearl and Leviathan opened the floodgates to the Black Tide. And then… well… here we are. 19 days earlier.
So this could mean a lot of things. I guess my biggest fear is Leviathan somehow unleashed a temporal Elder. However, this doesn’t feel… Eldritch. This feels too planned. Too thought out. Why did we jump back to precisely the first of March, and why did everyone else lose their memories except for me? It could be Nom de Plume’s work, but we haven’t heard from them since the Crisis. There was this strange sigil carved into the floorboards… but, seeing as this Felix’s manor, it might have already been there. Although the cuts look fresh.
I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me if I’m gonna figure out what happened. I might have my sister check the magic, flux, whatever. She’s good with stuff like that. And while she does that, I think I’m going to pay a visit to the only other person in New Orleans who probably still remembers the last 19 days. Being the last hope for humanity sure is tiring.
Time to see my old coworker.
