CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM 9/10/17
MANAGER 53
RECEIPT: DEEPCORP05
STATUS: TABLED
Now that the DeepCorp dust has settled, the all-mighty, all-knowing, and all-smexy Managers have thusly decided: The threat is over. Everything is chill. I mean, not like "chill-chill," more like… it's over? For now? We guess? 62 has cleared all of our systems, 17 has determined that they were unable to do any serious damage to our physical location, 35 sent a flower basket over to those Salty friends of ours, and everything seems fine? I mean, the biggest concern was that the DC23 put some kind of malware or worm into our CaDCom System, but 62 says everything looks fine, and there are no foreign agents in our system. So. There you have it.
So… what the heck happened, who the heck are they, and what the heck do they want? Well, we know that the DeepCorp23 is a group of five mysterious hacker entities who crashed into both our systems and Astoria's systems at the start of this month. According to the DeepCorp23, their primary goal was to "learn more about the Investors." What I find interesting is this almost implies that Astoria also has Investors or maybe even help from our Investor?? I don't know much about that situation. It's more of a 2^3 type of thing to worry about.
So, that's that, then! …Well… I don't know. I wouldn't expect the DeepCorp23 to just disappear. They'll probably try and make another attack on our systems in the future. But hopefully, 62 has tightened things up, so they won't be able to get in the same way they did last time. There is a possibility that they learned whatever they needed to learn about the Investors and no longer have an interest in us or our operations. That feels like wishful thinking, though. For now, all we can do is table this receipt and wait and see what happens!
