Summary of Receipt

Warren (Seth Warren/2213) goes to talk to two members of the Eidolons, Phantom Lane and Pixel, after being asked to by Dowser and Scratch. He mentions that Charge and Dovetail (CaD members) can use magic, but that he has other powers. ‘Power powers’, according to him. Anyway, he teleports into Phantom Lane’s apartment, they fight for a bit, Pixel shows up and they all get warped into Phantom Lane’s power, which is a pocket dimension called the Phantom Lane. Warren ends up telling them the truth, then leaves. Phantom seems to be giving Phantom Lane some esoteric orders sometimes, but that’s it. They said they’d look out for Deadhand.

KRONOS CAFE RECEIPT FROM 3/17/13
WARREN
RECEIPT: IN THE MANOS OF MUERTE
STATUS: OPEN
At the request of Dowser and Scratch, I went and had a little sit-down chat with the Eidolons. Well, more specifically, Phantom Lane and Pixel. It made sense for me to go seeing as out of all of us, I’m the only one with, like, “power” powers. No offense, Charge or Dovetail, but magic is kind of... old hat. Ha! Get it? Old hat? Hat. Haberdashery? Eh, I’m sure you get it. Anyway, if things went south, I could always warp out of there, but they seemed pretty cordial. Well, maybe not Pixel, but I think she’s just like that. Anyway, transcript is below, although it got cut off once we entered the “Phantom Lane.”

S.O.T

W: Phantom Lane?

PL: Uh, yeah. And you are...?

W: Warren.

PL: Warren? Like a- uh, rabbit hole?

W: Kinda. I mean, my tunnels are a bit more unique.

[Warren warped into Phantom Lane’s Apartment]

PL: Woah! Dude! What the- that’s- that’s freaking wicked dude oh my Morningstar dude, what!

W: Neat trick, huh? Anyway, I wanted to ask you about someone who’s been hanging around the Eastend.

P: Hey, who’s this kid?

PL: Ah, that’s Warren.

[Pixel pulled a hidden edged weapon and held it to Warren’s throat, to which Warren warped away]

W: Woah, easy! And here I thought edged weapon attacks only happened in Milwaukee.

PL: Gesundheit.

P: Phantom!

PL: Ah, sorry, he’s just here to talk.

P: Okay, but who does he work for? Huh?

PL: He- oh. Oh yeah, I should’ve probably asked that, huh? Don’t worry, I’ve got this covered.

[Phantom Lane placed a hand on both Warren and Pixel’s arms]

PL: Dare to venture past your mortal coil and leave this Earthly plane? If you do, you might just find yourself lost upon the dreary Phantom Lane!

[CaDCom ERROR [404S] Lost track of 3 subjects]

E.O.T

So, by saying that phrase, Phantom Lane can transport corporal forms to a pocket dimension which I assume is also called the Phantom Lane? It’s a dimension completely under Phantom Lane’s control, so he kind of had more bargaining power than I did. Plus, I don’t think I could warp out of there even if I wanted to. So I ended up just telling him the truth, and hopefully, that doesn’t come back to bite us later. So he knows we’re not “Good Guys” but also kinda working with them and blah, blah, blah. Apparently, the Phantom (the Elder) doesn’t really talk that much to Phantom Lane outside of giving vague esoteric orders. He hasn’t heard anything about Dr. Deadhand lurking around Eastend, but he said he’d give me a text if anything came up. Like I said, they seem pretty friendly, but then again, I guess they do murder people sometimes.
