Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: So what's the 'number of the Cafe and Diner'?
Clue 2: A page folded 'fancily', with a name linked to 8?
Clue 3: Or, I suppose, a sheet of paper folded into eight leaves.

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Octavo
Explanation: The number of the Cafe and Diner is 8. The term for a sheet of paper folded into 8 leaves is 'Octavo' - hence, a fancy name for Eight, 'in name'.

That was the easiest one yet. A page folded 8 ways is an Octavo. Unfortunately, I feel like our luck has run out. This one… I don’t see a clear theme… nor indication of what to do next. If we know, we know, and if we didn’t, we should now? How is that a puzzle? Utterly infuriating.

As I understand it, Complexico used to have an actual game show that he was the host of. Not in this version of reality, not as far as I’m aware. But I’ve been doing some reading on the whole affair. He is an Elder who feeds on “puzzle solving.” It’s why he's always been so attracted to the Cafe and Diner, it’s our security system in the CaDComs. He used to get his fill from his show, called “Complexico!” but… things went south after his final three contestants learned of his true nature and refused to play his game any further. The ensuing carnage led him to flee his original timeline and now he goes around tormenting people at random. Fun.

I’ve tried many things thus far but nothing has stuck yet. Perhaps we need to go back to the start of this horrible game.

That’s all.

"If you know you know,
and if you didn't know yet...?
You should probably know now!
What you need is at the beginning...
and the end. Over, and over, again.
I can't shake the feeling we've done this all before."
