It… worked. It actually worked. Though, I suppose we didn’t have much reason to think it wouldn’t. Rasputin checked, double-checked, and triple-checked that No. VI and No. VII’s powers wouldn’t further "dirty" the surrounding magic. If anything, what they did actually cleaned up the state of things. Which is why I think it makes… sense. I mean, as much as energy manipulation on a cosmic scale can ever make sense. But they were the ones who inadvertently (or maybe advertently) caused this problem in the first place, and now they’ve undone it.

Things aren’t exactly back to how they used to be, though. The Black Tide is no longer loosely attached to Mayda; instead, it seems to be fully encompassing Eden, back where it should be. And Eden is no longer… inaccessible, either. It appears that by returning its tide, Eden has anchored itself back into the center of the Ouroboros. Or quasi-center. Again, we’re dealing with a cosmic scale that I barely understand. The important part is that we now have a direct pathway to Eden.

The good news is that with Eden more… stable? The Protodemons have all returned to Eden as quickly as they came to the Flipside. And according to the various Indigo Agencies, no new Protodemons have been spotted since. Of course, there’s still the usual risk of cross-contamination between the Flipside and the Otherside, but Eden might be a special enough case that we won’t have to worry too much about it. And if it isn’t? Well, we know where to send them now—like the Elders, back into the Tide.

However… unlike the Black Tide, Eden—or I guess, "Black Eden"—isn’t as strict. It seems that, theoretically, we could travel there ourselves and return. Of course, we can’t go in the water, as I imagine that part still works much the same as before. But the actual landmass of Eden should be somewhat explorable. The question is whether exploring it would be worth the risk.
