Summary of Receipt

Red Eye promises that hiring Marocchino was unintended to make Black Coffee uncomfortable, but wants the two to make up anyway - there aren’t many who can join the Cafe and Diner, and those who can are…weird. Like Oliver, aka Romano. As for herself, she’s stepping away because of Mammon. He’s adopted a new persona, ‘Muldra Yonomo’, and wants to buy over 8’s Holdings (the business that represents the Cafe and Diner), currently split between Mammon, Red Eye and Galao. So Red Eye’s leaving to prevent herself from being forced by Mammon to betray them (it’s a long story, allegedly).

RECEIPT AS OF: 8/03/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: RED EYE
RECEIPT FILED AS: AND-CAD2-03

I swear, Jenni, hiring Nikki was not some elaborate plan to get back at you for that awkward date with my ex. I would hardly call it elaborate. Also, I think it might be good to spend some time with her now before… well, who knows what might happen. But you’d do good to learn to work together. Realistically speaking, it’s not like there are that many people who can actually work for the Cafe and Diner. I mean, look at “Oliver.” I don’t get the point of hiring him, but I’ve never been good at guessing what Shaka’s playing at.

Ugh, speaking of destiny, predetermination, and all things that are and have been Fated—Mammon. He’s the real reason I had to step away. He’s taken on a new persona, “Mr. Muldra Yonomo,” an unassuming businessman. I preferred Maeve, the war criminal arms dealer, personally, but trying to keep up with Mammon’s identities is always a losing battle. I suppose I’m not really one to talk, though. Sometimes it’s nice to not have to be some all-important Prince of Hell. Sometimes it’s nice to just be a no-name Solomon or Sabrina. You’ll see what I mean once you get tired of being nothing more than just a number.

Anyway… Muldra. He wants to buy the Cafe and Diner. All of it. Technically he already owns a part of 8’s Holdings, the shell company that controls the Cafe and Diner’s interests. I also own a fraction. And with the prior 8 dead, Lucy owns the other third. Well, I guess it’s split between Lucy and Felix, but Lucy holds immense sway over Felix. I’m telling you this, 8, because I don’t want you to get taken by surprise if Muldra tries to pull rank on you. You might not own the actual Cafe and Diner company, but make no mistake, you are still 8. Me and Lucy are behind you, I promise. But, if I get too close, I’m worried Mammon will force me to betray you somehow. I sorta owe him a different debt. It’s a long story. One I should probably tell you and Lucy later. But for now, I’ll still be around, just in the shadows.
