DINER RECEIPT
RECEIPT NUMBER: CCAD01
RECEIPT DATE: 9 2 19XX
MANAGER TITLE: BALTIMORE
RECEIPT NOTES:
While we had a rather significant first month, I must expect that our second month will be equally eventful. There is still so much left to do before our Cafe and Diner is fully up and running. We’ve made an excellent start, yes, but everything must be perfect before I’ll feel comfortable officially opening our doors. I have a very clear vision of how it should all come together. I know, I know—I can be quite the handful to work with, and for that, I apologize, Mon Amour, and to you, my most Trusted Associate. I truly thank you both for your patience. It’s just… there’s still one major component missing from the Cafe, and I have no idea where to find it. Not yet.
And I understand, Mon Amour, that your main concern is the safety of the Cafe. I do. Mixing tourists with customers, coffee, and Canadians… things are bound to go wrong. Oh, believe me, Mon Amour, I know how very wrong things can go. We can take a number of safety precautions in advance, of course, but I fear that this is simply the nature of our business. We must keep the delicate balance between those seeking the thrill of caffeine and those who must remain decaffeinated to sleep peacefully through the night.
And my most Trusted Associate. Mon nouvel ami I know you're eager to hire new staff for the Cafe, and it’s not unreasonable. To get started, we will need employees. But… the timing just doesn’t feel right to me yet. It’s hard to explain, but trust me when I say we need to wait just a little longer before we can properly staff up. I know you have your list of potential hires, and I have mine. But my list… it’s not ready yet. Soon, though. I promise you, it will be ready soon.
