Summary of Receipt

Baltimore mentions that, unlike the two Investors, the CaD's Mysterious Benefactor didn't expect anything in return for his help, instead wanting them to just follow their goal of sending Cryptids and Demons back to the Otherside. The Benefactor has, therefore, provided them with a facility with some tools to aid them - though it's really just a huge concrete box which the CaD will have to redecorate. Furthermore, since Baltimore didn't reveal everything to him, the CaD will have to set up the CaDCom Database as well, so that'll take a few months.

RECEIPT NUMBER: WTC03
RECEIPT DATE: X 22 19XX
MANAGER TITLE: BALTIMORE
RECEIPT NOTES:

I suppose I should also mention our mysterious benefactor a bit. Though, I fear there is not much to say about him. He truly lives up to his namesake of being rather mysterious. Though I assure both of you, he is the far lesser evil when compared to our investors. Unlike Lucifer's siblings, our mysterious benefactor has no interest in any form of repayment. He only expects us to uphold our intended goal of returning cryptids to the Otherside and dealing with demons seeking to disrupt the Flipside's natural order.

To that end, he has not only provided us with land that is undetectable to the Astoria 23rd Agency but also a facility with a handful of useful tools for hunting cryptids and combating demons. Nothing extravagant, but then again, it was all provided free without strings attached. Though, the actual physical location lacks charm. It is, generously, a large concrete box out in the wilderness. It will take some time for us to decorate it and make it appear to be an unassuming Cafe and Diner.

Of course, it would probably be wiser to just leave it as is. There is no fun in that. If we are going to such lengths to call ourselves the Cafe and Diner and to create a series of cafe-related codewords, the very least we can do is make our home base at least look the part. Additionally, there are some customizations our mysterious benefactor was unable to provide for us—as I did not request them. While I trust this benefactor, I cannot give away all of our secrets… especially not our CaDCom Database. So, it will still take us a few months to fully integrate our Database into the physical location.

But

This is an excellent start.
