Summary of Receipt

The whispers apparently were ‘there is no church’. Umbra, aka the Hatman or the Darkness/Dark, is tied to the ‘Everdark Pits of the Amaymon’ and is working for Padre. The other demon is Mr. Aka, or the Redman. He’s a regular ‘bathroom ghost’, but has been enhanced due to his Terms with Padre. Whatever that means.

There is no church, eh? Never figured Umbra to be the church-going kind. I know things about Mrs. Umbra that I am unable to divulge, but what I can share, I will do so here.

Mrs. Umbra, aka, Umbra, the Shadowman, the Man in the Hat, the Hatman, or simply the Darkness or Dark for short, is a dangerous entity tied to the Everdark Pits of the Amaymon. His powers include complete intangibility, lesser teleportation, induced sleep paralysis, and subconscious interference. In every way, he is a living shadow not dissimilar to Shadow Beings and Shades of the Everdark, although he is a rather unique case. In some regards, he is closer to that of an Eldritch being, though he still has mortal ties which bind him to the mortal cycle. Beyond that, I cannot say much, or it would be my head on the line.

Although, I can always discuss new information about the shadowy Hatman. Presently it would seem rather obvious that he too is working with Padre and Mrs. Pleasant at the Open Doors church. And if this is the case, it aligns well with Secret’s information. Tall, dark, and handsome and is more useful for his servant. Which, by the way, is a Boogieman known as the Redman. We’ll use the name Mrs. Aka for him as it is the word “Red” in Japanese. On the surface, Mrs. Aka is nothing more than your garden variety “bathroom ghost,” but do not be deceived. His Terms set forth by Padre have imbued him with great powers. Again my tongue is tied here, but the Redman has been in the service of Umbra for quite some time now as part of his Terms. If this is all correct, then we know who Padre is working with, Mrs. Pleasant, Umbra, and Aka.

We also know Umbra is trying to lead us off the trail. Interesting.
