Puzzle

“Cerulean Imp, Cobalt Incubus, Cyan Ifrit.”
Electronic Trivia | 3 Words

Clue

Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: 'Electronic' referring to the music genre, mind you. Anyway - ignore the colours for now; what two things do 'imp', 'incubus' and 'ifrit' all have in common?
Clue 2: Is there a band, group, or other 'electronic music creator' who shares these two similarities? Think in terms of both the words themselves and their meanings.
Clue 3: So once you've gotten the creator, why all these shades of blue?

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Daydream In Blue
Explanation: The described creatures are all monsters starting with the letter I. There is an electronic music duo, I Monster, who produced a song 'Daydream in Blue', matching the three shades of colours described in the puzzle.

Freaky little shards of static, huh? Crazy stuff. Near as I can tell, these shards aren’t from here—not from this Universe, you know? They’re definitely Archonic in origin, dripping with Entropic magic. Which is just a fancy way of saying, who else but Snow could’ve made them?

Now, I don’t know Snow—none of us do, except Hibiscus—but I guess we dealt with that Archon in a different cycle. Archons… damn. And I thought dealing with Angels and Mammon was a tall order.

Good news, though: my Tanty’s got a book on Archons—The Abridged History of Entropy by Da’at. Not that it’s surprising; she’s got a book on pretty much everything. According to Hibiscus, it’s pretty likely the Novas killed my Tanty in that other cycle because of this very book. So, if they want it again this time around, they’ll have to go through me instead. …Not that I’m under any illusions—I probably wouldn’t fare much better. But if they manage it, well… then they’d have to deal with my grieving Tanty. And that’s a fight I don’t think they’d win as easy, you know?

Anyhow, Snow does show up in Da’at’s Abridged History of Entropy, though only as a footnote. He’s listed as Herald Stasisiax of House Malapert, described as a winged messenger with many multicolored eyes. Apparently, he helped the Envoy Lykar of House Nova murder the mortal Eirian, which unleashed the Retching Plague across Entropy. For their crimes, they were banished from Entropy, and at some point, Snow, Gleam, and the rest of them must’ve ended up in our Universe.

These days, Hibiscus says Snow’s become the personification of the static between channels. He feeds on lost and ephemeral media. I’m guessing these static shards have something to do with that. I did try to “activate” one, like Indrid did—but no luck so far. All it did was make my hand go numb.
