Summary of Receipt

26 and 71 successfully find the people who'd sounded the alarm for Mrs. Williams. They're amateur cryptid hunters, and having actually found one they've called for help. Anyway, the recent reports all check out with the few sightings from 1895. The two plan to try to just contain Williams, then try to return her.

Me and the Old Man made it up to Great Falls, and we were able to meet with the group of cryptozoologists who called us for help. They are… well… I think it’s great that they have a fun hobby, you know? It’s a great way for these kinds of guys to get out and socialize a bit and get some fresh air. No wonder these guys found our message board. They seem like they live more online than off. But, again, it’s nice they get to run around outside a bit chasing cryptids. The only problem is it seems they finally found one.

Mrs. Williams certainly earns her honorific. She is not a mellow dude. She ripped up one of their arms real bad, and she got this other guy right on the head with a nasty shiner. But, you know, I still like to believe the best of my little cryptid friends. This Terror of Hens and Women, it was probably just scared. I think Mrs. Williams is more interested in chowing on chickens than these Pillsbury doughboys. I mean, it probably could’ve eaten one of them if it wanted to, but these gashes look more defensive than anything. I think the Old Man is spot on, though. This beasty, it’s just a gluttonous little guy from the Esterskald looking for a nice meal.

Okay, okay, a little guy probably doesn’t actually apply to Mrs. Williams. The cryptozoologists claim she was about the size of a horse, looked like a wolf, and moved like a monkey—just like the 1895 descriptions of it. And without a clear portal to send her back through, we’ve got our work cut out for us. We’ll see if we can figure out a way to actually contain the little—uh, big guy and then figure out transportation home from there.
