Alongside all this wacky weather—which we have had an awful lot of recently—I had another dream, or a memory, of the Redman. This time, the dream seemed to be when he was a young Boogieman. Actually, earlier than that, he wasn’t a Boogieman yet, just another demon desperately fighting his way through the trenches and no-mans-zones of Pandemonium. Here’s what I saw…

The sky was a furious canvas of crimson and black, which bled profusely as if wounded by the endless war it oversaw. Droplets of blood-like rain fell, scorching the Redman’s skin with every touch. The air was thick with the metallic tang of blood married to the acrid stench of sulfur from raging Firestorms in the distance, punctuated by occasional wafts of thick ash. The constant howl of wind carrying the screams of the slain demons and clashes of unseen battles pierced the Redman’s ears, a constant droning frequency of endless despair and turmoil.

The trenches themselves had become a labyrinth of chaos as the mud mixed with the thick blood rain, creating a slick and treacherous terrain. The Redman moved through this quagmire like a shadow, his movements part instinct and part desperation. Around him, endless swarms of demons danced in the brutal violence of this Siege-born maelstrom. A moment of eerie calm descended upon him as the Bloodstorm paused as if it were a heart skipping a beat—there, he saw what he was fighting for up high in the distance. He wasn’t fighting for survival alone, but a chance to rise, to become more than just another demon among the trenches. It was this moment, this fleeting glimpse amidst the blood and thunder, that cemented his resolve to become the deadliest Boogieman of all.

That was… largely it. It was just memories of the Redman slinking through the trenches of Pandemonium, slaying various weaker demons, and working his way to the Vile City. I don’t think I gleaned anything too important from it, other than during the season of Siege in the Hauntaurskald, sometimes it rains blood. That might be related to our Mr. Higden case, right? Though, I don’t see why Padre would willingly spread the Bloodrain of Siege in Long Beach, as it seriously hurts demons… unless… he’s trying to flush certain demons out?
