Puzzle

“Leader of (VII) in (V) in the Ancient Era.”
No. 62 Trivia | 2 Words

Clue

Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: Is there a game - specifically the fifth in the series - that uses the term Ancient Era?
Clue 2: The leader of a certain 'VII'. A bit of a stretch here, but what could VII represent?
Clue 3: Maybe a card?

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Ramesses II
Explanation: The 'Ancient Era' and terminology like 'leaders', in terms of video games, bring to mind the game Civilisation - more specifically, Civilisation V. One of the Ancient Era's leaders is the Pharaoh Ramesses II, who has the special unit War Chariot. Chariot is the Major Arcana card numbered VII.

Heyo, itsa me, 62—don’t worry, I’ll take the hit for the team. I’ll hang back and make sure 512 is safe while you guys go infiltrate the lair of a cult of murderous fish elders. I know, I know, I’m missing out big time. I’ll have to risk my life some other time to make up for it. Actually, we do genuinely need someone here at the Manor tomorrow morning as we have some guests coming over. No. 17’s allies, the Ramses, wanted to drop by to do some magic mumbo jumbo voodoo or something other to 512. When we were staying in their garden up in Ponchatoula, Nina Ramses, the family matriarch, said something was… wrong.

I mean, more wrong than 512 being a zombie, anyway. The bonus to having some legit voodoo practitioners is they actually know a good deal about zombies. Nina doesn’t think 512 is a traditional zombie, and that is backed up by the whole “Zulu experiment” thing. She’s something… more. I guess. I don’t know, and neither did Nina. But, if she was a typical zombie, she should have recovered from her injuries by now. At the very least, she wouldn’t be in a sort of stasis, as most zombies can stay conscious even with a few missing limbs.

Moreover, Nina is confident that 512 isn’t completely alone in her own head. I mean, that would explain the talking to herself. So, then the question is, who is she talking to in there? Nina has a few tricks up her sleeve to try and find out. Hopefully, she’ll be able to clear up what’s keeping 512 from regenerating. I’m also gonna have her take a look at the runes around the Manor. Of course, they all turned red when Friday was here running through the halls, but the one outside the Teal Room keeps turning red, and even 17 isn’t totally sure why. It might be nice to have an outside opinion.
