Clue 1: Hotel? That's... strange.
Clue 2: Well, there's Hotel, and then there's Hottel, if you get what I mean.
Clue 3: Indexes once again?

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Blood
Explanation: Hotel, was misheard as Hottel, also known as the Guy Hottel Incident on March 22 1950. [1](https://vault.fbi.gov/hottel_guy)

Using the report as a book cipher and counting the characters continuously, and going backwards for negative, you get “She needs blood.”

Summary of Receipt

512 drank someone's blood when fighting Mrs. Brown, and got a weird dream from that. The dream goes like this: 'A lush and misty forest slowly consumed by fire and brimstone. The smell of old paper and fresh ink. Then just rage. And then the sensation faded'. This is likely due to the Hauntaurskald encroaching on the Esterskald. So it seems that she can read feelings when she drinks blood.

Hey everyone! I’m awake again! Thank you all so much for the care while I was recovering. Apparently, I said some weird stuff while I was sleeping, I must’ve been dreaming or something! I don’t really remember dreaming about anything in particular. But maybe it’ll come back to me. Although there was something strange that happened when I woke up today…

So, there was a tiny splotch of dried blood on my hand from when Mrs. Brown came to visit. I- okay, don’t judge me, I gave it a lick. Yes, yes the zombie girl likes blood, who would’ve guessed it. Yes, I also know it’s like licking week old pasta sauce off your hand but… okay no it was kinda gross now that I think about it. But I can’t really control the urges sometimes, you know? Anyway, after licking the blood off my hand I got a sort of rush. Kinda like the rush I get when I, uhm, eat. I didn’t get memories from it but I did get something else. Sort of a feeling that wasn’t my own. And it was enough of a feeling that it kinda formed a memory. You know when you smell something vaguely nostalgic in the air? And you can’t place an exact memory to it, but you still remember the smell? That’s… almost what it was like.

I got a sense of anger, fear, and resentment. A lush and misty forest slowly consumed by fire and brimstone. The smell of old paper and fresh ink. Then just rage. And then the sensation faded. It’s hard to put into words, but I sort of… understand why Mrs. Brown did what she did. Consumed by the fires of hatred. I don’t have her exact memories but I have… I guess… her feelings? Well, I had her feelings. They’ve faded away now… but it’s interesting. I wonder if I just have blood without the brains if I can always tap into feelings. Normally when I eat them together I get the full package, but maybe if the blood was drained from a brain I’d only get the memories? I kinda want to experiment with this a bit, but obviously I can’t just go sucking people’s blood like a vampire. I’m already a B-Movie monster as is. Well, I’ll see what the managers think and I’ll keep you all updated!
