Summary of Receipt

Manager 7, Employee 71 and Nine obtain a ‘mechanism’ (Indigo Prime’s equivalent of the Antikythera Mechanism?) in Indigo Prime, which is apparently rather bleak. They then check the Otherworld’s Planes: Avalon seems to be in some chaos due to a tiny little orange demon, Hanako’s been causing chaos in Nightmarch - which, as it turns out, wasn’t her Plane, Olympus at least seemed normal, Alfheim was very inhospitable, Red Wine (the End?) was still suffering from Mammon’s rule and was VERY hostile, and the Achegloom was too incorporeal for Bartlett to do much.

Well, that was like, bleak. I see why Nine left his home Cycle. It’s not exactly a pleasant place. At least we were able to get what he needed there and get out. We didn’t see Dover, but it’s probably safe to assume he’s not there. I’m not sure why we needed to get this “mechanism” or whatever, but apparently, it’ll greatly help our search. I’m not sure what it is or how it works, so I’m just leaving that up to Nine. Today, my job is to open up passageways to the Otherworld Planes, and Nine will do the rest.

APPLE JUICE
The first stop, Apple Juice, is the calmest plane, in my opinion. Well… usually, it’s a lot calmer than this! It seems something has caused a terrible upset with the faefolk and critterfolk recently, though we didn’t have time to stick around and help. All I know is there is some serious chaos afoot. I hope it’s nothing too serious. There is a chance that whatever caused this upset might be a tiny little orange demon, so worth looking on.

AMAZAKE
Next up is Amazake, also a relatively calm plane. Most yokai are harmless, though the Yokai who dwell outside of the eternal festival are less friendly. Still, a pretty fun place that I think Dover would like. Oh! Speaking of Dover’s tricks. It seems like there’s been quite an upset here, too, as there’s been a Demon running loose in Nightmarch. If I had to, like, guess, I’d say it’s Mrs. Hanako. So… maybe she wasn’t a Yokai after all. Yikes. Uh. We can deal with that later as that might actually be our mess to clean up.

ICHOR
Ichor is somewhat tame, but it is MASSIVE. All the way from the peak of Mt. Olympus down to the deep dark chthonic Underworld. At least things here seemed more or less normal. Nine did something with the mechanism and then decided Dover hasn’t been here, so we should move on to…

MEAD
The scariest of the cardinal planes. While pockets of Alfheim are hospitable, they are largely surrounded by expanses of dangerous wilds chilled by the winds of Niflheim, guarded by the wilds of Utgard, and encroached upon by Helheim. If Dover was here, he wouldn’t survive long outside the Elven Villages. Plus, I feel like the Aesir would’ve kicked him out.

RED WINE
The actual scariest plane. The inhabitants are still largely recovering from the reign of Mammon. It’s clear that outsiders are not welcome at the moment… so we left. Fast. And if WE weren’t welcome, I doubt Dover would’ve been.

LONDON FOG
Okay, maybe the planes are getting worse the farther we explore into the Otherworld. THIS is the scariest plane full of, well, you know, like ghosts and stuff. 90% of this plane is incorporeal, so I don’t think Dover would’ve had too much to do here, and to our knowledge, this is the last plane of the Otherworld. Dover COULD have MAYBE opened another plane, but I don’t think that’s how it actually works. So I think it’s safe to say that the Otherworld is not where Dover’s at.
