A key of three, how very peculiar indeeeed. And here, I thought it'd be a one-and-done type of deal. Oh well, I guess I'll have to have a stern talk with Mr. Smith regarding the information he's been giving me. He was convinced there were only four fully intact Antekeys to the Antechamber in and at the very End. Goes to show how little the Otherworldly customers actually talk to one another. I guess that's a good indicator that each of the four planes of the Otherworld are fairly insulated from one another if Mr. Smith didn't know about the Olympian brothers splitting their key up.
Well, at least my girl gang was able to secure the Pearl from the shores of Asmayda. The Pearl, which belonged to Poseidon—later under the watchful eye of Megaera… well as watchful as she can be, seeing as she lost it. However, it does bring up an interesting question: what happened to Poseidon? And not just sea-daddy, but Zeus and Hades too? Mrs. Celaeno mentioned that they were trapped in tartar sauce or something like that, but how in the heck did they get there? They're supposed to be GODS, right? Zeus, especially, is supposed to be GOD OF GODS! TITAN KILLER! So… who clapped his cheeks????
I mean, it doesn't sound like they're dead at least. Still, is Nyx this much of a schemer? It's not just Nyx either; we're all pretty sure the Badb is running things in Avalon, right? At least, Mr. Smith hasn't told me otherwise. Don't get me wrong, the Badb is a badbass lady and all—but does she strike you as a "leader"? Shouldn't it be King Arthur or someone like that??? Or, if not Arthur, Arwan, surely. Eh—politics in Avalon are complicated, more so than the messy family trees of Olympus, so I guess it could be a bit more fluid than we see… but I've got a sinking feeling someone has been gunning for the God-kings.
