CUSTOMER & ORDER: STRONSAY, COFFEE BLACK
SERVER: H.R.
Well… that can’t be good, can it? If Stronsay wasn’t already ordering a coffee black, they would easily qualify for an order of Americano. They’re… hm… how to put it… They aren’t an Elder. At least, I don’t think they are. They should be mortal, or at least mortalish. But at the same time, they are far, far beyond your average demon. From what I’ve read and from what the Manager has told me, they’re a force even older than the Mothman. Sorta like a primordial force of malevolence and evil. A force that can hardly be contained for long.
I suppose it is almost fitting… that as the end of summer looms near, so does the Nuckelavee… almost as if they are a personification of the death and decay of autumn and winter. And, without Big Guy around, we… might not have what it takes to deal with a customer like that. I mean, if we’re already struggling to strategize how we can deal with Umbra, Aka, Pleasant, and Florida… what the hell are we supposed to do against a primordial demon?? I mean, sure, having the Big Guy here might not change *that* much… but I don’t know… I just feel… vulnerable? I guess I’ve just always been used to having him with me.
I guess I should try to stay positive, yeah? Falling into a spiral of despair won’t do us any good. Plus, we do have a New Guy with us! And he might know something more about Stronsay than what we can find in a bunch of dusty old books. They’re both from Mayda, at least. Or, well, no… I guess Stronsay isn’t technically “from” Mayda… at least not born into Mayda or tied to it. They’re so old that it’d be more correct to say they’re from the Skald, the same as Mothman. But for at least a few years (decades?) Stronsay has been kept inside the Locker at the bottom of the Endless Ocean… plus he’s associated with water, and the New Guy loves water.
Peace, Love, and Joy!
