Clue 1: In relation to the Other Cafe, what are H.R., the Manager and the Big Guy?
Clue 2: Or, I suppose, what do they have? What they actually have, that is, not 8's...claims.
Clue 3: By Frontalot.
Answer and Explanation
Answer: Charisma Potion
Explanation: Jericho, Joy and Julius are bearers of the Mantle of 8. There is a song by M.C. Frontalot called 'Charisma Potion' which has the lyrics '+8 Helm of Glamour'.
Summary of Receipt
Payroll messages her brother, Nick Langley, about Gemini. He apparently claims that they’re from a game called ’Shadow Story’ that he used to play (similar to D&D). If they take a blood reading of Gemini and it reads as an EEE (see Unearthy Horrors in the T.C. archives for explanation), that’s probably correct. Also, the Dark’s lair is apparently called the Dim Den, unless that’s a joke. (it’s not, they seriously named their evil villain lair that of all things.)

I crossed the Rubicon or whatever. I finally texted my brother. I know. Gross. But I wanted to see if he had better leads on what Gemini is. It turns out he DOES know who/what Gemini is. Or at least he’s pretty sure he’s seen something like them before. Though… I don’t know if I believe him. He’s always been kind of “out there,” and his theory as to what Gemini is, is as “out there” as it gets. Well… maybe not that out there. He could’ve (and probably would’ve) claimed they were aliens or something like that. Though what he claimed they are is somehow even weirder than them just being aliens.
They’re not real. They’re fictional characters. Specifically, from one of his little nerd games he used to play when we were teens. Yeeeah. He used to play this game in our parent’s basement, where he’d dress up like a wizard and roll dice and do like math. It was very sad to have to witness it. Anyway, he’s almost positive that these are one of the monsters from that game “Shadow Story.” And, like, I mean, ehh? I guess it’s possible. He sent me a pic of his player guidebook, and it sure looks like the Gemini we’ve seen.
He said we could confirm his hypothesis (yes, he said it like that because, of course, he did) by just getting a blood reading of Gemini. If it’s “EEE”, I guess that means that they aren’t from our… reality? What? This seems like over the top, even for Umbra. As far as I knew, he couldn’t bring fantasy monsters to life. Also, side note, does Umbra like… play Shadow Story? Does he make the members of the Dark gather in the Dim Den to roll dice, dress up like wizards, and do math? AHAHAHAHAHA, I bet they do. Nerds.
