Well, that is one crisis averted, eh? I paid our dear #35’s parents a little visit, and I was able to cure them of their red-eyed affliction. At least, I hope so. Redman’s Bloodshot can be rather tricky to undo. It doesn’t help that Redman so often employs tricks and deceit to hide the true status of his influence over others. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that is his greatest strength—When capable, feign incapacity; when active, inactivity… or something like that, yes?
However, for all of Redman’s many tricks, I hope he cannot outmaneuver our secret weapon: Esterskaldian Cryptid mucus. Yes, as disgusting as the medicine may be, I put some of our Squonk’s snot into #35’s parents' eyes. I did attempt to dilute the viscous substance and sterilize it the best I could… but at the end of the day, Squonk snot is Squonk snot. Perhaps the treatment is made better by them not knowing its origin? In any case, #53 made it up to them with a piping hot cup of coffee. Something about… Avon? As if I’d ever stoop so low as multilevel marketing.
#35 will have to keep an eye on her parents for any resurgence of Redman’s control or unwanted side effects, but the early results are good. And, assuming the treatment sticks, it gives us a way to counteract Redman’s Bloodshot, should he attempt to use it on any of us. However, our poor little Squonk seems to be running dry. It might be time to return him to the Esterskald where he belongs so he can cry out the rest of his miserable Squonk-y life, eh? We’ll ring it out one last time for good measure and then put it back, hopefully away from its many bullies and tormentors.
