Clue 1: What's the liquid in RRR01?
Clue 2: And what exactly is Hidgen?
Clue 3: Some sort of liquid that falls from above...

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Red Rain
Explanation: In C-RRR01, many blood-themed references are made to Mr. Hidgen. In addition, the word 'spitting' in the puzzle, combined with Hidgen's described behaviour, makes it seem like a raincloud of sorts. Blood rain is also known as red rain.

Well… this is stranger than I anticipated. This Red Rain, despite looking like blood, isn't any type of blood I've ever seen before. Critically, it seems to lack any and all DNA… yet it's alive. The samples I was able to collect seem to respond to various stimuli, coagulating and being drawn to various subjects. I'm not sure what the correlation is yet, but the attraction seems to be mainly towards people and not inanimate objects. I've noticed that the Red Rain seems to particularly favor #17.

Now, it might be a stretch to say that it's "alive" without detectable DNA… except it does have a Blood reading. It is extremely Hauntaurskaldian—I think only Padre would have a higher reading. And seeing as the "eye" of the Red Rainstorms seems to be forming around the Open Doors Church, it's pretty clear that it has something to do with Padre Santos. Maybe not directly… but that's being exceptionally charitable towards Padre, isn't it? Until we know what this Red Rain is and what Padre is planning to do with it, we need to be especially cautious of bringing in any uncontained samples into the Cafe.

However, that is going to be easier said than done. These rainstorms have been frequent, and it seems almost impossible to get them out of your clothes or hair if you get caught in one. The good news is that the Red Rain seems to break down after 30 minutes, turning into what seems to be ordinary water. That at least makes it easier for Shill to do his job. However, the samples I've been keeping in air-tight containers seem to be staying blood-red. I'm guessing either air or just being in the Flipside causes whatever sort of… cryptid(?) this is to break down. So, for now, if you do get caught in the Red Rain, make sure to wait at least 45 minutes for it to fully turn into water before going anywhere important or saying/doing anything sensitive. Rule No. 13, and all.
