Summary of Receipt
Umbra leaves a receipt, complaining that he’s got to work with Jericho and be a Jester. He says that the Staff of Solomon disappears within a week, but making a puppet sentient would not. He also complains about how the Elders interfered with the Dark’s plans, resulting in this. Without the rest of the Dark Triad, Umbra alone can’t really do anything to stop Robert (apparently a ‘false prince’ of hell? yeah, prince of the great realm of palm beach lmao). Even teaming up with the Manager wouldn’t do much good.

THE ROYAL REIGN OF ROBERT T. DOLL
IN THE YEAR OF HIS GRACE, TWO THOUSAND AND SEVENTEEN ON THIS THE 26TH DAY OF ROBTOBER
PENNED BY HIS ROYAL JESTER, JOHNNY SHADE
If I do not have either the mechanism or the First Book at the end of this charade, you may consider Robert the Doll dead. While it makes me physically and emotionally sick to work with the likes of Jericho Myerscough, I suppose there is no other alternative at this time.
Yes, the Scepter of Solomon disappears after a week. Imbuing the puppet with a thread of knowledge will not disappear after a week. How very troublesome. If I could trust Robert as far as I can throw the nasty little shade, I might even find myself giddy to imbue him with unholy powers. It wouldn't hurt to have a false Prince among our ranks. However, this whole… demeaning jester role gives me pause. I do not think having the doll more powerful than the Triad is a good idea. Jericho agrees.
I am unsure where the rest of my Triad has gone, and without them, I cannot stop Robert in his current magically-enhanced form. Of course, Jericho and I can do some damage; it's best not to attack the Scepter's bearer head-on. Oh, how I do despise Elder interference in our plans. Although, I suppose if the Scepter were in my hands, I would complain much less. Well, there is always next time.
