THE ROYAL REIGN OF ROBERT T. DOLL
IN THE YEAR OF HIS GRACE, TWO THOUSAND AND SEVENTEEN ON THIS THE 19TH DAY OF ROBTOBER
PENNED BY HIS ROYAL JESTER, JOHNNY HATMAN

If I do not have either the mechanism or the First Book at the end of this charade, you may consider Robert the Doll dead. Do you hear me, you pathetic, worthless, insignificant shade? Remember who gave you this opportunity… and do keep in mind not to squander it on such lowly aspirations as "Princehood." While it makes me physically and emotionally sick to work with the likes of Jericho Myerscough, I suppose there is no other alternative at this time.

Yes, the Scepter of Solomon disappears after a week. However, imbuing the puppet with a thread of knowledge will not disappear after a week. He will become, in essence, a "half-prince." How very troublesome. The powers of Eden are not for his amusement. If I could trust Robert as far as I can throw the nasty little shade, I might even find myself giddy to imbue him with utopic powers. It wouldn't hurt to have a false Prince among our ranks. However, this whole… demeaning jester role gives me pause. I do not think having the doll any more powerful than the Triad is a good idea. And Jericho agrees.

I am unsure where the rest of my Triad has gone, and without them, I cannot stop Robert in his current magically enhanced form. There is a chance the Mothman could come in and rescue me… but as the hours turn to days, I fear he cares not to dirty his claws with this mess. I cannot blame him for that. Of course, Jericho and I can still do some damage. It's best not to attack the Scepter's bearer head-on, but there are ways to disrupt the power he is feasting on. Oh, how I do despise Elder interference in our plans. Although, I suppose if the Scepter were in my hands, I would complain much less. Well, there is always next time. It is, after all, a minor setback.
