After some careful consideration, extensive research, and thoughtful planning by the Manager, I think we’ve got a solid plan to pay Visayas' tab in full. Destiny, being a manananggal demon, is able to separate her upper body from her lower half. Gross. According to the Manager’s research, she can only do this at night, and when both her halves are attached, she’s no stronger than an average human. Now, chances are she (or, more likely, Umbra) won’t let us anywhere near her when she is full-bodied. It would pose too much of a weakness. However, there is another drawback to being a manananggal—if they can’t reunite their body before sunrise, they’ll die.
So! I think the plan from there is pretty straightforward, if a bit cumbersome. We need to trap her upper body long enough that it will be unable to reunite with her lower half. Luckily, manananggals have a whole host of other weaknesses—holy water, sugar, spice, probably everything nice. We’re going to be playing into the Dark’s expectations of us. They think we have no idea what we’re doing… so let them. We’re going to have squirt guns filled with an equal parts concoction of holy water, garlic juice, and vinegar. It’ll seem juvenile, but if we can keep her busy until sunrise… it should do the trick.
Now, obviously the hardest part is keeping her upper body from reuniting with her lower half. Best case? As the sun starts to rise, Destiny will get sloppy, make some mistakes, and we can keep her pinned until the sun fully rises. Worst case? We can keep her busy long enough for her to call out her lower half out of desperation. But the second she reunites, she’s as good as human again—from there, we can strike the final blow to her heart with a stingray tail. As for actually luring her out, New Guy has volunteered to be our bait. I have some mixed feelings about that… but, if he’s gonna work here, I suppose we can’t baby him. Plus, he was able to evade Destiny on his own for a few days. I’m starting to think Destiny may just be the bottom of Umbra’s barrel.
