CaDCom-Alpha. Weird. I would have thought all of the original CaDComs melted. Or exploded. Where the hell did Hibiscus get her hands on these… and so many. I got a peak at how many working CaDComs she has. Seven. There were nine employees of the Original Cafe and Diner. So… I guess only two didn't make it. I suspect the original Owner's CaDCom was destroyed. And… probably No. 614. None of these CaDComs look like his did, as he spent a lot of time tinkering around with the CaDCom’s Othertech. His special model had way more capabilities than the others. Way more.
This means these CaDComs Hibiscus was able to rescue are… feature deficient. Really all they seem to be able to do is connect to the CaDCom's Data Core, access the Diner, Cafe, and And Channels, and transcribe conversations. They're glorified cell phones. Admittedly, they have some neat anti-demon encryption features. But without access to the original Cafe's files, they really aren't anything too special. Not yet. I guess that's what I'm supposed to be working on. Even though I'm familiar with the general OS on the Alphas, these aren't exactly the same. There's something… freaky going on.
Hibiscus apparently tried to get these CaDComs connected to the Data Core all on her own. It seems to be working—but it has none of the original Cafe and Diner's data and a lot of weird… empty space. From what I can tell, huge blocks are sectioned off in our CaDCom around where the original Cafe's data is supposed to be, but it's just… empty. Not only that, but it's bigger than what I would have expected to see for the Original Cafe's data. Way bigger. While it would make some sense that there'd be ~6 years of data sectioned off… it looks more like …35. And due to all of this "empty but not really empty" space, it'll be difficult to modify these CaDComs further. I'll still try.
