Upon further contemplation, I’ve come to two possibilities. Either the Open Doors Church already has a way to get to the house on Dracula Drive… Or they’re waiting for us to figure it out for them. Alternatively, I guess they might not need the house at all but would happily take it if we could figure out how to have it rematerialized in the Flipside. There are so many horrible, world-ending, catastrophic, corrupt, and downright evil creations and experiments in that house… and I wouldn’t want Padre or his Dark Triad to get their hands on any of them.
Considering they haven’t used any of Dr. Crow’s old tricks yet, that’s probably a good sign that they don’t have access to his house. Which means they either don’t need it or want us to figure it out for them. Or, I suppose, they could be working out a way to get it themselves, but why go through all the trouble of stealing the San Pedro Mountain Mummies and kidnapping #35 if they were still missing such a huge piece of their plan? I don’t know. I really don’t. And I hate the very thought that they might try to bring Madeline back.
That stupid, awful house. Not only did it take Madeline’s life, but Marcus and Hamilton too. Not to mention the countless other victims of Dr. Crow’s madness. Like I said in my last receipt, I’d much rather leave the house as an inaccessible mausoleum for Dr. Crow and his endless nightmare experiments… but also so Madeline, Marcus, and Hamilton’s sacrifices won’t be in vain. If someone stumbled upon Dr. Crow’s work, it’d take so little for them to fall into the same madness he did. Having almost fallen into it myself, I’d know.
Anyway, let’s stop chasing ghosts. Either Padre already knows how to get to the house, or he doesn’t need it. But we don’t need to give him any unnecessary advantages by finding it for him.
